Five
Corners is located in the village of Beulah, Michigan. Its
name is derived from the five intersecting streets converging
at its front door. Interestingly, it is also owned and operated
by five family members, who with their unique talents form
the foundation and direction of the business.
Local
residents still remember the Five Corners building as the
site of Beulah Drugs, which operated here for many years.
In addition to the pharmacy, it featured an old-time soda
fountain and was a favorite destination for residents and
visitors alike. Built in the late 1800s, this unique structure
is one of the original buildings in town and has played an
important part in its evolution and growth.
If
you could choose a place to live and work, you'd be hard-pressed
to find one better than Beulah. The area offers the very best
of what Michigan has to offer, with beautiful forested hills,
sparkling lakes, and pristine rivers and streams. Nestled
on the shore of Crystal Lake, and just minutes from Lake Michigan
and the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, Beulah sits amid
a spectacular outdoor paradise. It is "up north"
at its best.
Our
store is inspired by its northern Michigan location and the
friendly, independent nature of its residents. When possible,
our products boast a local or regional origin. We believe
in Michigan, and in the craftsmanship and creativity found
here in great abundance.
